Robert King High, Jr. ("Bob") has been practicing law in Tallahassee since 1979. He is rated "AV"by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating it offers for both legal ability and ethical practices. Bob's practice focuses on product liability and commercial litigation cases, and has established a stellar reputation defending agricultural clients in cases claiming crop loss or damages from alleged defective seed. Bob was a member of the Law Review at the Florida State University School of Law, where he graduated with Honors in 1979. He is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma. He has served on the Executive Council for The Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section, was a charter member of Leadership Tallahassee, and is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Tallahassee Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court and all the courts of the State of Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
Bob High is the son of Robert King High, who served as mayor of the City of Miami, Florida, from 1957 - 1967 and was a Democratic nominee for Governor of the State of Florida in 1966. Bob was born in Miami, Florida, went to high school in Bradenton, Florida, attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, and his lived there since 1972. Bob has been married to the former Ruth Ann McDonald, daughter of retired Florida Supreme Court Justice Parker Lee McDonald, since 1984. They have two children: Jenny and Bobby. Bob loves golf, F.S.U. sports, and spending time with his family.
